Palmeiras pays tribute to Zé Rafael before the derby against Santos.

Before the match between Palmeiras and Santos kicked off, the Palmeiras club paid tribute to midfielder Zé Rafael. The player defended Palmeiras for six seasons, from 2019 until the beginning of this year, and left the club to join Santos.
Alongside his family, Zé Rafael received a plaque on the Allianz Parque pitch from Palmeiras president Leila Pereira and vice-president Paulo Buosi. This year, the club honored players who were part of the multi-championship generation of recent years. Those who didn't have time to receive the honor while still at the club were celebrated before matches against them, as happened with striker Rony, now at Atlético Mineiro.
Zé Rafael played in 325 matches for Palmeiras and won 11 titles, including two Libertadores Cups. The midfielder scored 25 goals for the club. To sign the player, Santos had to pay R$ 15 million.
