At a rapid pace: more than half of new residential buildings in the region are being built in the Novgorodsky District

Novgorodstat reported that in the first 4 months of 2025, the region's population built 152.9 thousand square meters of housing, which is 65% more than in the same period last year. At the same time, the largest areas were commissioned in Novgorodsky (56% - 85.9 thousand square meters), Valdaisky (8.4 thousand square meters) and Borovichsky (8.2 thousand square meters) districts.

In total, 1,295 houses have been built in Novgorod region by individual developers. Most of them are single-story and wooden.

Individual housing construction currently accounts for 91% of the volume of housing commissioned in the region.

By the way, if we remember that only 120 days of the year have passed until the end of April, it turns out that on average Novgorodians build 10 houses or 1270 square meters.
