Cherry Alley marks the beginning of the garden near the Novgorod House of Social Care

A cherry orchard will one day grow near the Novgorod Social Care House in Derevyanitsy. And it began with a cherry alley, which was recently laid out in memory of those who brought Victory closer in the Great Patriotic War, defended the interests of our Motherland in local conflicts, risked and continues to risk their lives in the SVO zone.

Not only adults, but also children from the orphanage located in Derevyanitsy took part in the cherry tree planting. This summer, the Social Care House launched a new project, “Visiting Grandma,” during which young and elderly neighbors will meet frequently.

The initiative was supported by the Commissioner for Children's Rights in the Novgorod Region, Tatyana Efimova.
