Evgeny Karpov: Happy City Day and Russia Day, dear Novgorodians!

Dear Novgorodians and residents of the Novgorod region! I congratulate everyone who was born and raised here, who came here and stayed forever, linking their fate with our beautiful city, everyone for whom it has become native and beloved, on City Day and Russia Day. Russia Day is a holiday for each of us, a holiday for those who feel their involvement in the past, present and future of the Fatherland. On this day, we respectfully remember the culture, traditions, history that make our country unique and inimitable.

2025 has been declared the year of the Defender of the Fatherland and the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory in Russia. In 1945, we defeated fascism, defended our long-suffering Russia, and now our fathers, brothers, and children have once again stood up to defend the country. And we will definitely win!

The history of Russia is the history of each of us, and it begins with our small homeland. For us, this is the Novgorod land. Our love for it is love for Russia, the present and future of which directly depend on our common work, energy and civic responsibility. And by investing our knowledge and strength in the development of our hometown, we contribute to the formation of a great Russia. Dear fellow countrymen!
