Home and walls help, specifically the Novgorod rowers - the Kremlin

Novgorodians won 13 sets of awards at the 50th anniversary May Regatta on the Volkhov. At home, as they say, even the walls help, in our case — the Kremlin ones. The rowing competitions took place on the Myachino rowing canal and brought together more than 400 athletes from 13 regions .
Five sets of gold medals were won by students of the Novgorod rowing school (SShOR "Olimp"):
- Boys under 19: double sculls Nikita Ivanovsky, Vladislav Makarov
- Girls under 15: double sculls Alena Piltenko, Pelageya Babinich
- Boys under 15: double sculls Roman Fedorov, Nikita Stepanov
- Girls under 15: Four sculls Alena Piltenko, Sofia Kournikova, Anastasia Zinovkina, Yulia Nazarova
- Boys under 15: quadruple sculls Philipp Smirnov, Vladislav Mamaliga, Lavrenty Zhbanov, Alexander Kalyanov
Silver medalists:
- Girls under 17: Single Erika Biserová
- Girls under 17: Four sculls Polina Nesterova, Pelageya Babinich, Erika Biserova, Alexandra Dobryantseva
- Girls under 15: single Yulia Nazarova
- Boys under 15: singles Alexander Kalyanov
Bronze medalists:
- Boys under 19: quadruple sculls Vladimir Gerasimov, Matvey Telnov, Nikita Ivanovsky, Vladislav Makarov
- Girls under 17: double swing Varvara Reginskaya Varvara, Polina Novozhilova
- Boys under 17: Double sculls Damir Mavlyutov, Maxim Kurdyukov
- Girls under 15: double sculls Daria Rowe, Maria Saltykova

Let us add that the phrase “At home, even the walls help” originally meant “they heal”, but later it was adopted by athletes.
