In the Russian Federation, penal colonies (PK) are massively buying up DJ equipment for prisoners. This was reported by the Telegram channel Mash.

Since 2022, the amount of musical equipment supplied to the penal colony has increased by 470 percent. Guitars, drums, acoustic systems, consoles and other equipment are purchased for educational work with prisoners.

Over the course of a year and a half, there were about 120 deliveries of equipment. However, for the period from 2018 to 2023, there were only 70. Both equipment and consumables, such as drumsticks, guitar strings, and more, are purchased.

At the same time, in one of the colonies in St. Petersburg, it is planned to set up a recording studio with everything necessary.
