Kursk Region Resident Receives Prison Sentence for Attack on Wife and Neighbor

In Kursk Oblast, a magistrate court sentenced a 50-year-old resident of Oboyan to 1 year and 8 months of forced labor with 10% of his income withheld in favor of the state. The man was found guilty of beating his neighbor's wife and daughter.

As reported by the unified press service of the regional judicial system, on the evening of December 29, 2024, while drunk, the accused quarreled with a neighbor. The neighbor's 21-year-old daughter, who intervened in the conflict, received blows to the body, a broken finger, and a wound on the forehead from a blow with a crutch. Later, on January 17, the man beat his wife, breaking her rib, and threatened to kill her.

At the trial, the accused admitted guilt and partially compensated for the damage. In addition to the restriction of freedom, he was ordered to pay 100 thousand rubles in compensation for moral damage.
