Nikolay Veriga: Our city is inextricably linked with Russia, its history and victories

Dear Novgorodians and residents of the Novgorod region! I congratulate you on the main national holiday - Russia Day! This important national holiday unites us all, personifies the inseparable connection of times and generations. Love for our country gives us the energy to create, to create a future for our children. The history of our state is filled with bright victories and achievements, unparalleled courage and heroism, exceptional skill and talent. Our ancestors, united in the fight against enemies, always bravely defended their native land. This has been the case for many centuries. But no matter how many challenges confront us, we will continue to carefully preserve centuries-old traditions and spiritual values, work conscientiously, achieve success, make dreams come true and, of course, win. On this day, we also celebrate the birthday of our glorious Veliky Novgorod. Our city is inextricably linked with Russia, its history and its victories.
