Novgorod Region to allocate additional 1.8 billion rubles from the federal budget to air safety and social sphere

In the near future, the Novgorod Region budget for the current three-year period will undergo substantial adjustments – the region will receive an additional significant amount from the federal budget. The receipt of 1.8 billion rubles and the purposes for which these funds are planned to be used will be discussed on July 3 in the Novgorod Regional Duma.
The day before, the upcoming changes to the main financial document of the region were discussed at an extraordinary government meeting, which was chaired by Acting Governor Alexander Dronov.
It is specified that 494.5 million rubles were allocated from the federal budget as a subsidy for the creation of a Center for Collective Use in the field of unmanned aircraft systems. It is planned to open it by the end of 2025 and on the production premises of one of the enterprises. The center will allow residents of the Ushkuynik Scientific and Production Center (currently there are over 40 of them) to implement their developments, including using the acquired equipment.
"Other additional expenses are also envisaged. They are planned to be used for payments to participants of the SVO, providing support measures to medical workers, replacing elevators, financial assistance to municipal budgets to resolve issues of local importance and other purposes," commented the chairman of the regional parliament, Yuri Bobryshev.
