Russian visits Czech market, reveals food prices

A Russian traveler visited a farmers' market in the Czech Republic and revealed the prices of products. He shared his observations in the TrueStory Travel blog on the Zen platform.
"The Czech Republic is among the top five countries in Europe in terms of living standards," the author noted. "I expected the prices to be exorbitant, but it turned out to be completely different."
The Russian cited the cost of fresh fruits and vegetables as an example: onions - from 90 to 130 rubles per kilogram, potatoes - 55 rubles per kilogram, apricots - 120 rubles, apples - 55-75 rubles, watermelons - 100 rubles per kilogram.
In addition, the market sold homemade mead - a Czech honey liqueur. The cost of bottles varied from 450 to 650 rubles per half liter. They also offered ready-made food. "For only 150 crowns (about 550 rubles) you can buy a great pie with strawberries or apples," the blogger noted.
Earlier, another Russian traveler visited a market in Mexico . She called the experience an expedition into a world where going to pick potatoes becomes an adventure.
