Russians were given advice on how to train a dog to stay home alone

A puppy should be trained to stay home alone starting at two months, Vladimir Urazhevsky, president of the Union of Cynological Organizations of Russia, told NEWS.ru. According to him, it is important to gradually increase the time when the pet is left alone, as well as create comfortable conditions for it to avoid stress.
When you leave a puppy for a short time, you need to start again with exercises so that the puppy stays at home and does not worry. At first, it is better to leave for a short time, then longer, then even longer. You cannot take the puppy and just leave because your plans have changed. Of course, the puppy can bark all day, wait for you. Therefore, the puppy must understand that it has a familiar place, toys, sometimes even leave the radio on. If you are away until late in the evening, it is even better to leave the light on. This often helps , - explained Urazhevsky.
The dog trainer also noted that in order to prevent problems with socialization and training of the animal in the future, training should begin at this age. He emphasized that training and education are not only material costs, but also significant time investments.
You need to think about socialization and education, this is very important. First: socialization begins at two months, and the puppy's character is formed from two to three months for life. Therefore, you need to show the world, take it with you, invite guests, communicate. Because if the puppy is closed, there will be no contact, no communication, it can become somewhat cowardly, aggressive and problematic for society. It is imperative that when you get a dog, you think about education. If you do not engage in training, there will be a big problem for the entire apartment building and the dog will be uncontrollable. Therefore, starting from a small age, the puppy is necessarily taken to the hall, to the training ground, a dog handler is invited, and this is very important , - explained Urazhevsky.
Earlier, the President of the Russian Cynological Federation Vladimir Golubev stated that there is always a reason for a dog's barking, and to eliminate it, it is necessary to analyze the pet's behavior in detail. He emphasized that this could be caused by the pet's fear or stress.
