MOSCOW, October 30 - RIA Novosti. The Moscow City Court has remanded top Rusnano managers in pretrial detention until December 29 in connection with the abuse of power case, a participant in the trial told RIA Novosti.
In their complaints, Boris Podolsky's defense team requested that the defendants be released under house arrest, Artur Galstyan under a ban on certain activities, and Marina Kasenkova on bail of 3 million rubles. All three agreed that the defendants were not the perpetrators of the crime, as the documents were signed by the then-current leadership.
The defendants themselves participated in the meeting via videoconference.
According to investigators, in 2017, three senior Rusnano managers reclassified financial liabilities to conceal the company's poor economic performance. Using distorted data, they provided false information about the supposedly satisfactory financial position of Rusnano JSC. This, they emphasized, allowed them to avoid the revocation of previously issued state guarantees and attract additional funding. "As a result, the state had to allocate over 43 billion rubles to the corporation in 2022-2024."
