The Glyadyaev couple celebrates 47 years in Novgorod and 56 years of marriage this year

Stories about Novgorod residents who carefully preserve their family relationships continue to be shared by specialists of the regional committee of the Civil Registry Office and the Regional Department of Family and Community Services on the eve of Family, Love and Fidelity Day. Maria Ivanovna and Nikolai Grigorievich Glyadyaev can be proud of the length of their union, and at the same time share the secrets of their family happiness. This couple is among those nominated for the medal "For Love and Fidelity - 2025".

Maria Ivanovna and Nikolai Grigorievich are both natives of the Bryansk region. Before meeting each other, they lived in neighboring villages. They met at a village club dance. Maria Ivanovna was a very attractive girl, for whose attention the guys from neighboring villages fought. Nikolai Grigorievich also attracted attention - a brunette, a virtuoso accordion player.

Nikolai's service for three years did not cool their interest in each other - on the contrary, during this time the spiritual connection between him and Maria only grew stronger. Afterwards the young people decided to get married.

They got married in 1969. For the first few years they lived and worked in Bryansk, where they had a son and a daughter. In 1978 they moved to the city of Veliky Novgorod and stayed there for the rest of their lives.

Together with his daughter, Nikolai Grigorievich often delighted Maria Ivanovna with new pets: over the years, the family was replenished with cats, hamsters, guinea pigs and even canaries. Maria Ivanovna is always considered by everyone to be nothing less than the soul of the house, where they will always warm you up, feed you with delicious food and share wisdom.
