The Russian-Chinese Forum was held in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk

On June 9, the opening and work of the first day of the Russian-Chinese Inter-Municipal Forum took place in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. The business event brought together more than 120 participants, including business representatives from China, Sakhalin and Amur regions, and Primorsky Krai.

The forum aims to establish close bilateral economic cooperation with potential investors and business partners in various fields: trade, agriculture, construction and tourism.

Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk Mayor Sergey Nadsadin welcomed the forum participants, noting that relations between Russia and China are currently reaching their highest level, recalling that the leaders of our countries Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin met in Moscow during the celebration of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Particular attention in recent years has been paid to the development of bilateral relations between the Sakhalin Region, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk and the cities of the People's Republic of China. The goal of the forum is to move on to real steps in economic cooperation.

- Today our city is ready to become the best place for investment. We believe that such an economic breakthrough has occurred thanks to the effective work of all levels of government under the leadership of Governor Valery Igorevich Limarenko, close cooperation with residents and the business community. We work as a single team and achieve serious results, - said Sergey Nadsadin. - We have all the necessary resources for various business ideas and undertakings: developed infrastructure, and most importantly - readiness to cooperate with reliable partners for our common development. I wish all forum participants fruitful work, new contacts, successful projects and long-term partnership!

Those gathered were also greeted by the co-chair of the All-Russian Association for the Development of Local Self-Government Irina Guseva, who in a video address noted the dynamic development of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk and its role in Russian-Chinese inter-municipal cooperation, as well as the deputy director of the department for relations with the subjects of the Federation, parliament and public associations of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Vladislav Kurbatsky.

Deputy Chairmen of the Sakhalin Region Government Anton Zaitsev and Vyacheslav Alenkov spoke about the achievements of the Sakhalin Region, its investment potential and innovative projects. Vice President of the All-China Association of Small and Medium Enterprises Mr. Teng Hexian made a response speech.

A number of agreements in the areas of business support and production of high-quality equipment were signed at the forum: between the regional branch of Delovaya Rossiya and the All-China Association of Small and Medium Businesses, as well as between the companies HUNAN TEGOU GONGCHENG CO. LTD and DAO INVEST LLC.

On June 10, the forum continued its work, and participants visited various organizations and enterprises in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.
