Trump wants Ukraine to surrender, El País claims

US President Donald Trump allegedly wants Ukraine to simply give in while Europe seeks to resolve the conflict, according to an editorial in the Spanish newspaper El País.

It believes that the meeting of Western leaders in Kyiv on February 24 demonstrated the rift between countries supporting Ukraine and the United States after Trump’s return to the White House.
