In one of the parks of Lugansk, youth activists laid out a "fiery" portrait of the legendary Kombat. This required 3.5 thousand candles, RIA Novosti reports.
This unusual portrait was created as part of the “Fiery Pictures of War” campaign.
"These are already annual meetings at this place. The place chosen for the event is truly legendary, our 395th mining division left from here and, as we see, the place really has a certain attraction. Today's generation comes here to honor the memory of our ancestors, to pass it on to children and grandchildren," shared the acting head of Lugansk, Yana Pashchenko.
She noted that such events are very important. They help pass on memory between generations. The head of the "Volunteers of Victory" movement, Alina Zakharova, said that artists helped create this fiery portrait. According to her, "each candle is a memory of a fallen hero."
