In Washington, about 60 protesters were detained near the Capitol building, CNN reported, citing law enforcement sources.
"A group of about 60 people were arrested at the Capitol on Friday evening after breaking through a police barricade of bike racks," the statement said.
In total, about 75 people took part in the action. They staged a protest at the US Supreme Court. And then headed to the Capitol. The TV channel reports that activists from a group that opposes fascism were present at the demonstration.
It is reported that all those detained will be charged with two counts: illegal action and breaking through a police barrier.
