Actor Gerard Depardieu has become the subject of an investigation in France into aggravated tax fraud and money laundering, Agence France-Presse reports, citing its own source. The artist is also suspected of fictitious residence in Belgium since 2013.

According to the publication, searches have already taken place in Paris, Maine and Loire. At the same time, Depardieu has already become a figure in several judicial investigations in France on charges of harassment. Thus, in March, hearings will be held on the case concerning two complaints filed by members of the film crew of the film "Green Shutters".

Among other things, the actor is under investigation for allegedly harassing actress Charlotte Arnoux. The artist himself has always denied any accusations against him.
