In Khabarovsk, the leader of a criminal group was convicted of kidnapping people

In Khabarovsk Krai, a court sentenced the organizer of a criminal group involved in kidnappings, robberies, extortion, and rape. The gang leader received 18 years in prison under four articles of the Criminal Code, including robbery, rape, and kidnapping.

A criminal group of five people operated in the village of Ilyinka from August 2023 to May 2024. The perpetrators gained the trust of women, after which they kidnapped them, playing out the scenario of an attack by drug dealers.

The victims were taken to deserted places, had their phones taken away, were threatened with physical violence, and were forced to take out loans. After that, the victims were kept in rented apartments so that they could not contact law enforcement agencies.

The particular cruelty of the criminals is confirmed by the fact that one of the abducted girls was raped. In total, 13 people became victims of the gang, and the total material damage exceeded 800 thousand rubles. The court is currently considering the cases of the remaining members of the criminal group.
