Moscow Jazz Festival to Bring Together Musicians from More Than 20 Countries

Musicians from more than 20 countries will take part in the Moscow Jazz Festival. It will be held from June 9 to 15 in the Russian capital, RIA Novosti reports, citing the Foundation of People's Artist of the Russian Federation Igor Butman.
More than a thousand artists will perform at the festival. In addition to Russians, musicians from Belarus, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Italy, South Africa, Greece, the USA, Belgium, France, Congo, Cuba, Armenia, China, Brazil, the Dominican Republic and Jamaica are scheduled to perform.
Jazz Across Borders will also feature experts from Germany, Thailand, Morocco and Bahrain.
Butman noted that this year the phenomenal Belgian artist of Congo origin, Zap Mama, will perform in the Hermitage Garden.
“At the closing of the festival, my Moscow Jazz Orchestra will perform for the first time with the world jazz star Veronica Swift from the USA. Many foreign musicians will perform as part of the festival’s club program,” Butman added.
