The past night in Moscow turned out to be the warmest since 1986. We are talking about a daily record for July 9, said leading specialist of the Phobos weather center Evgeny Tishkovets.

“Last night at the Moscow reference meteorological station VDNKh the minimum thermometer showed +19.3. In the entire history of this observation point, the only warmer night was on July 9 in 1986, when meteorologists recorded +19.4,” the meteorologist wrote on his Telegram channel.

Thus, the past night was the warmest for July 9 during the entire period of meteorological observations in the capital.

At the same time, Tishkovets noted that it was much warmer in Balchug – at night the thermometer there showed +22.6. This is even warmer than in the resort town of Sochi (+20.0) and roughly corresponds to the daily norm for July in Moscow.

Tishkovets added that nights in the capital will be abnormally warm until the end of the current week. The temperature in the dark hours of the day will be about +20 degrees, while the climatic norm for them is +11.5.

Earlier, Tishkovets reported how much the water in the Black and Azov Seas on the Crimean coast has warmed up .
