In the Moscow region, more than 40 sites have been prepared for festive prayers in honor of Eid al-Adha, said the deputy chairman of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Russian Federation (SAM RF) for international affairs and hajj, mufti Rushan Abbyasov, during the Mecca-Moscow-St. Petersburg-Simferopol video conference. He also noted that 12 special places have been organized for the sacrificial rite.

“We call on our fellow believers to remain in their cities and perform prayers at specially prepared sites,” Abbyasov emphasized .

He added that sacrificial rites should only be carried out in designated areas, such as farms, slaughterhouses and other similar facilities. It is prohibited to carry them out in courtyards or playgrounds.

Muslims from all over the world have begun arriving in Saudi Arabia to participate in the annual Hajj, which officially begins on June 4. According to local authorities, about 1.5 million pilgrims have already crossed the borders of the kingdom and will perform religious rites until June 9.
