A 28-year-old resident of Tyumen experienced a severe allergic reaction after taking aspirin and ibuprofen, the Shot Telegram channel reports. The girl took two pills, after which she woke up at night from severe pain and itching. Her temperature rose to 39 degrees, her lips swelled, and numerous ulcers and a rash appeared on her body.
Doctors diagnosed the patient with Lyell's syndrome, a rare and dangerous allergic disease characterized by extensive damage to the skin and mucous membranes.
The patient's condition was so severe that she could not eat or drink due to severe pain. She was urgently hospitalized.
According to the victim, doctors also found mycoplasma pneumonia in her. The girl assumed that she had suffered from this disease again, since the corresponding antibodies were found in her blood. The rash and ulcers were probably the result of an acute allergic reaction.
