At the end of October, Russians will have a six-day work week, said Valentina Zakharchenkova, deputy head of the Legal Labor Inspectorate of the Moscow Federation of Trade Unions. This period will last from October 27 to November 1.
The holiday that usually falls on Saturday, November 1, will be moved to Monday, November 3.
As the expert noted, wages will not increase due to the six-day work week, since the day off will be compensated at the beginning of November.
After the end of the six-day work week, citizens will be able to rest for three days - from November 2 to 4 - in honor of the celebration of National Unity Day.
It is also worth noting that Wednesday, June 11, will be the last working day of the week. In connection with Russia Day, residents of the country will have a rest from June 12 to 15. June 12 is an official holiday, June 13 is a day off transferred from March 8, since this year it coincided with Saturday, and June 14 and 15 are regular days off (Saturday and Sunday).
Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Labor spoke about holidays and non-working days in 2026.
