It will be calculated based on data on quotes for perpetual futures and swaps from the four largest crypto exchanges.
Moscow Exchange will start publishing the Bitcoin index on June 10. The calculation frequency is once a day at 12:30 Moscow time, the trading platform's press service reported .
The new cryptocurrency indicator will be calculated based on perpetual futures and swaps quotes from four major crypto exchanges: Binance, Bybit, OKX and Bitget.
The index will be calculated as a weighted average of prices taking into account the weighting factors of the listed platforms. The weighting factors of crypto exchanges are calculated based on the trading volumes of the instruments monitored and will be revised quarterly.
In the future, the Moscow Exchange may make the Bitcoin index the base asset for derivative financial instruments.
