Sechenov University to Build Student Dormitory for 3 Billion Rubles

As follows from the technical specifications, the project involves the construction of residential buildings of varying heights. The dormitory will consist of three 15-story towers and two five-story parts of the building, connected by passages, as well as one two-story passage. Inside, there will be two- and three-room apartment-type blocks. The project also provides for apartments for students with disabilities; the building will house a canteen, sports halls and exercise rooms.
The building will be located on Rossolimo Street, next to the campus of the First Moscow State Medical University named after I.M. Sechenov. The contractor for the construction of the dormitory will be determined at the end of June 2025.
Sechenov University is one of the leaders among Russian universities according to the RAEX rating (15th place in the overall rating with a functional score of 3.9751), and is the best medical school according to the rating methodology. The university is actively developing both the educational component, opening new programs (in 2024, the university began recruiting for new international master's programs "Pharmaceutical Ecology and Safe Urban Environment" and "Additive Technologies in Medicine" jointly with NUST MISIS), and applied developments.
In November 2024, the university won a grant competition from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation for projects to create and develop engineering development centers. The university will use a grant of 300 million rubles to create an engineering center to develop medical products. The facility is planned to be commissioned in 2026.
