The government has lifted the increased duty on medicinal food from some countries

Adjustments have been made to RF Government Resolution No. 2240 of December 7, 2022 "On approval of import customs duty rates for certain goods originating in states and territories that take measures that violate the economic interests of the Russian Federation."
Increased duties will no longer apply to therapeutic nutrition that has a certificate of state registration of products confirming its compliance with the requirements of the technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union.
“Such products are needed for premature and low-birth-weight newborns, as well as children and adults with various diseases, including metabolic disorders, diabetes, cystic fibrosis and oncology,” the government clarified.
According to the authorities, the decision is aimed at ensuring diversity and increasing the availability of socially significant products on the domestic market.
In January 2025, the list of specialized therapeutic nutrition products for disabled children was expanded to 116 items. The list included nutrition for children with cystic fibrosis of different age categories. Among them are the dry mixture "Resource Junior" for enteral nutrition of children from 1 year to 11 years old suffering from cystic fibrosis, as well as the product "Resource Optimum" with vanilla flavor for enteral nutrition of children over 7 years old suffering from cystic fibrosis.
