82 irregular migrants were caught in Izmir

According to the statement on the Coast Guard Command's website, a fiber-hulled rubber boat was stopped by a Coast Guard ship and boat off the coast of Seferihisar.

The teams caught 41 irregular migrants, 17 of whom were children, and brought them ashore.

In the Çeşme district, a group of irregular migrants was detected on land by the Coast Guard aircraft.

Coast Guard Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime and Coast Guard Law Enforcement Support teams apprehended 23 irregular migrants, 8 of whom were children, in the region to which they were transferred.

Also in the district, 10 irregular migrants, including a child, who were detected on land by the Coast Guard Unmanned Aerial Vehicle, were caught in the Uçburun area.

After the Coast Guard Unmanned Aerial Vehicle detected a group of irregulars on a fiber boat off the coast of Çeşme, a boat team was dispatched to the area.

8 irregular migrants, including 2 children, were caught on the fiber boat that was stopped by the teams.

The two suspects on the boat were detained on charges of smuggling immigrants.

On the other hand, upon receiving information that a rubber boat carrying irregular migrants off the coast of the district was drifting due to engine failure and a request for help was made, the teams took action and rescued 10 irregular migrants on the boat.

After their procedures, the irregular migrants were handed over to the Provincial Directorate of Migration Management.
