A driver who failed to comply with a stop warning crashed into three cars in Diyarbakır.

Police teams on the Diyarbakır-Silvan highway wanted to stop a vehicle whose driver's condition they were suspicious of.

The driver, who fled with his vehicle by disobeying the "stop" warning, crashed into two police vehicles and a car coming from the opposite direction on Terkan Street.

Three people, including the driver of the vehicle, and four people in the car that it hit, were injured in the incident.

Upon notice, a large number of police officers, gendarmerie officers and 112 Emergency Health teams were dispatched to the region.

The injured were taken to hospitals in the city by ambulance. The road, which was temporarily closed, was reopened after the vehicles were removed.
