Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM), Numan Kurtulmuş, made statements regarding the MPs detained by Israel.

Communication with the MPs Mehmet Atmaca, Necmettin Çalışkan, and Sema Silkin Ün, who were on the Ship of Conscience, had been cut off. Following this development, Parliament Speaker Kurtulmuş emphasized the seriousness of the situation.

In his statement, Parliament Speaker Kurtulmuş stated: “If any harm comes to any of our friends who are members of the Parliament, you will be the ones who will be held accountable before the world public opinion.” Kurtulmuş’s statement demonstrated Türkiye’s determination regarding the security of the detained MPs.
