BREAKING NEWS ABOUT THE CEASE-FIRE: It's time for a ceasefire in Gaza! Hamas also agreed: We are ready!

Hamas said in a written statement that the "positive response" to the offer of a ceasefire and prisoner exchange with Israel in Gaza , which was given after consultations with Palestinian political groups, was conveyed to the mediators. The statement said: "Hamas responded positively to the mediators and is fully prepared to immediately enter into a serious round of negotiations to implement this offer."

There has been no official statement from Tel Aviv regarding Hamas' response. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will hold a political and security cabinet session tomorrow evening before his meeting with US President Donald Trump at the White House on July 7.

TEL AVIV RECEIVES MEDIATORS’ RESPONSE TO HAMAS’ GAZA CEASE-FIRE OFFER

According to the news of Israel's Channel 12 television, citing an unnamed Israeli official source, the Tel Aviv administration received Hamas' response from the mediators to its proposal for a ceasefire and prisoner exchange in the Gaza Strip and is discussing its details.

The source said the Israeli delegation is expected to go to Doha, the capital of Qatar, for negotiations on the proposal, but did not specify the date of the visit.

On the other hand, the news on Israeli state television KAN noted that Hamas insisted on three main demands for the amendment of the agreement articles.

The first of these demands was stated to be the return to the old humanitarian aid distribution model in the Gaza Strip, the second was about what would happen after the end of the 60-day ceasefire and the third was about the withdrawal of the Israeli army from the Gaza Strip.

Israel Hayom newspaper also wrote that, according to estimates in the country, the biggest difficulty in continuing the talks will be the issue of the Israeli army's withdrawal map from the Gaza Strip.

HAMAS MADE A STATEMENT

In a written statement, Hamas stated that it was determined to end Israel's attacks on the Palestinian people and ensure the free passage of humanitarian aid, and noted that consultations were held with the leaders of Palestinian groups regarding the proposal presented by the mediators for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

"Hamas will explain its final decision to the mediators after the completion of these talks and announce it officially," the statement said.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited the Israeli settlement of Nir Oz on the Gaza Strip border for the first time since October 7, 2023, and it was claimed that the Prime Minister told the relatives of the prisoners there that "they have accepted the agreement for a ceasefire and prisoner exchange in Gaza and that he believes they will announce it soon."

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar stated that they were serious about reaching a hostage agreement and a ceasefire with Hamas, saying, “There are some positive signs. I don’t want to say anything more right now, but our goal is to start indirect talks as soon as possible.”

Israeli media also reported that US President Donald Trump would declare a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip during his meeting with Netanyahu on Monday, July 7.

TRUMP ANNOUNCED THAT ISRAEL ACCEPTED TEMPORARY CEASE-FIRE CONDITIONS IN GAZA

US President Donald Trump announced that Israel had accepted the conditions for a 60-day ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

Stating that US representatives had a "long and productive" meeting with Israeli officials, Trump said, "Israel has accepted the conditions necessary to conclude the 60-day ceasefire. During this time, we will work with all parties to end the war."

Trump noted that Qatar and Egypt, which mediated the ceasefire talks, would present a "final offer" to Hamas.

Hamas, on the other hand, announced that it was evaluating the offer from mediators for a ceasefire with Israel, and Palestinian sources stated that Hamas was inclined to accept the ceasefire proposal.
