Dentist shot in the head dies in Izmir

49-year-old dentist Mustafa Emrah Düşmez, who was seriously injured in the head when he was shot by someone he had an argument with on February 21 in Konak district, lost his life at the Health Sciences University (SBÜ) Tepecik Training and Research Hospital where he was receiving treatment.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Allegedly, Mustafa Emrah Düşmez was seriously injured after being shot in the head by ME, with whom he had an argument over a debt.

After the incident was reported, health teams arrived at the scene and first took Düşmez to Alsancak Nevvar Salih İşgören State Hospital, where he was later taken for treatment at SBÜ Tepecik Training and Research Hospital.

Police teams examined security cameras in the area and determined that M.E. was in the Basmane district and detained him with the weapon used as the crime weapon.

Following the procedures, the suspect was arrested by the judge to whom he was referred.
