Ekrem İmamoğlu also rebelled against the unscrupulousness revealed by TELE1

Ekrem İmamoğlu also rebelled against the unscrupulousness revealed by TELE1

Reactions continue to the photo of Beylikdüzü Mayor Mehmet Murat Çalık in the window of the prisoners' ward and his mother Gülseren Çalık in front of the hospital, which was brought to Türkiye's agenda by TELE 1's Ersin Eroğlu.

Following the Forensic Medicine Department's decision to re-run the tests, Murat Çalık was transferred to Izmir City Hospital. Çalık was seen through the window of the prison ward, while Gülseren Çalık, concerned for her son's health, continued to wait outside the hospital. Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor and CHP presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu also reacted strongly to the footage. İmamoğlu asked, "What kind of cruelty, what kind of heartlessness is this?"

İmamoğlu's post is as follows:

"Neither God nor the nation will forgive those who make mothers suffer like this in front of the hospital.

Mr. Süleyman Çelebi came to visit me. While discussing the torment inflicted on our brother Mehmet Murat Çalık, he recounted his own experience during the coup period.

He spent four and a half years in prison on September 12th. He lost his father during that time, and I offer my condolences. He said that only one soldier was with him when he attended his father's funeral, and that despite the coup regime, no one even considered handcuffing him. I can't find the words to describe the cruelty inflicted on my brother, Mehmet M. Çalık. He was taken to hospitals, handcuffed. He was diagnosed with cancer at the hospital where he went for treatment and checkups. Then, after undergoing surgery, he was transported in handcuffs for an angiogram. His photo appeared in the media. As if that weren't enough, a report was issued stating that he couldn't remain in prison in Izmir, and he was referred to Istanbul for a forensic examination. Isn't there a forensic examination in Izmir? Even that wasn't enough; after the forensic examination, he was sent to Metris Prison, and from there to Izmir. Even that wasn't enough, the Forensic Medicine Institution decided to redo all the examinations. What kind of cruelty, what kind of heartlessness is this? For God's sake, who are you? What purpose do you serve? With what greed, and to whom are you trying to curry favor? I'm addressing the ambitious individuals who fulfill these duties: Did you emulate the era commemorated by a car model? Were you inspired by the era of unsolved murders when committing torture and cruelty?

What grudge, passion, or passion are you acting out of? In whose name, and to whom do you serve?

The judiciary of this nation and country will hold you accountable when the time comes. May God grant you all the conscience, virtue, wisdom, and morality of Mr. Ergün Turan, who speaks from his conscience, even though our ideas and political views differ!
