Hamas: Israel's aggressive stance is a manifestation of its expansionist policy

In a written statement, Hamas emphasized that Israel's attacks on Gaza and regional countries "confirm the danger posed by the Zionist formation to Arab and Islamic countries."
The statement said, "The Zionists' attacks on Yemen, Syria and Lebanon and their continued aggression against our people in Gaza, especially in light of the positions declared by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his embrace of the Greater Israel project in Arab lands, reveal their terrorist and expansionist nature."
The international community, the United Nations, and all Arab and Islamic countries were called upon to "assume their responsibilities in stopping Israel's criminal violations against the Palestinian, Arab and Islamic peoples."
Netanyahu's statement on "Greater Israel"Israeli cabinet’s far-right Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich announced on August 13 that he planned to approve the “E1” project, which would expand settlements seized from Palestinians in occupied East Jerusalem, in order to “eliminate the idea of a Palestinian state.”
Netanyahu , too, claimed that he felt he had undertaken a historical and spiritual mission and said he was committed to the vision of a "Greater Israel" that would include the occupied Palestinian territories.
The term "Greater Israel" is used by some Zionists, including Zeev Jabotinsky, founder of the Zionist Revisionist movement and considered the originator of the ruling Likud party, to refer to today's Israel, as well as the Gaza Strip and West Bank , which they occupy, and the Jordanian territories.
