Heavy rain warning from Ankara Governorship

Heavy rain and storms disrupted daily life in the capital. The sudden evening storm and downpour caused flooding in some streets and avenues. The governor's office issued a new warning following the heavy rain.

The Ankara Governor's Office issued a statement warning citizens of the expected rainfall, expected to begin at 1:00 PM today in northeastern Ankara and end at 8:00 PM. The statement read, "According to the latest data from the Analysis and Forecast Center of the General Directorate of Meteorology, heavy thunderstorms are expected this afternoon in northeastern Ankara. Therefore, caution and precautions should be exercised against potential hazards such as flash floods, lightning strikes, localized hail, and strong winds during the rain."
