Istanbul Airport reached its highest daily flight count with 1,695 air movements

In a written statement, Transport and Infrastructure Minister Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced that Istanbul Airport has achieved historic success in terms of both operational and international prestige. Uraloğlu noted that Istanbul Airport reached its highest daily flight count since its opening on July 18th, adding, "We have achieved historic success by surpassing the previous record of 1,690 flights, set on June 11, 2023, the day of the UEFA Champions League Final. With this latest record, Istanbul Airport continues to be one of the most important players in the aviation sector in Europe and the world."
Minister Uraloğlu stated that Istanbul Airport has strengthened its international reputation as well as its operational strength. He stated that it has topped the "World's Top 10 International Airports" survey conducted by Travel and Leisure, one of the world's leading travel magazines, for the second consecutive year. He continued, "The fact that Istanbul Airport has once again surpassed all its competitors in this survey, determined by the votes of millions of readers every year, demonstrates how much our country's vision and service quality in aviation are appreciated worldwide."
Minister Uraloğlu stated that in the survey, which was determined by the readers of Travel and Leisure Magazine based on evaluations on many topics such as access, security, check-in, food and beverage areas, shopping, and design, İGA Istanbul Airport ranked first, leaving behind Changi Airport in Singapore, Hamad Airport in Qatar, Zayed Airport and Dubai Airport in the United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong Airport, Helsinki-Vantaa Airport in Finland, Haneda Airport in Japan, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Airport in India, and Seoul Incheon Airport in South Korea.
