The Ministry of Youth and Sports released a statement regarding its programs, including Sports Schools, Youth Camps, Youth Summer Clubs, and Seyahatsever (Traveler Lover), stating, "Children and young people who attend the Youth Camps and Youth Summer Clubs are enjoying their holidays. Participants in the engaging activities are both having fun and learning. The 'Traveler Lover' project continues to provide free accommodation in GSB dormitories for young people who love to travel."
The statement continued, stating that the ministry has prepared a special program this year for children and young people who are on holiday with the closure of schools. The statement, which noted high participation in Sports Schools, Youth Camps, and Youth Summer Clubs, continued, “GSB Sports Schools and GSB Accessible Sports Schools, which are held throughout the year, are mostly attended during the summer months. Education at the annual GSB Sports Schools and GSB Accessible Sports Schools began on July 2nd to ensure that children and young people can spend their time more productively during the summer months. Within the scope of this year's summer GSB Sports Schools, children and young people aged 3-18 are provided free sports training in all branches. The training, held under the slogan 'We're Entering Summer Actively,' is carried out in sports facilities affiliated with the Provincial Directorates of Youth and Sports in all 81 provinces, under the supervision of expert coaches. Those who stand out with their talents during the training will be directed to sports clubs, the Anatolian Stars League, and school sports activities. Additionally, athlete cards will be generated for all participants through the Sports Information System.”
'GSB YOUTH SUMMER CLUB CONTINUES THIS SUMMER'The statement stated that the GSB Youth Summer Club, which was launched last year to help children and young people in the 09-12 and 13-15 age groups make the most of their summer vacation, is being implemented this summer as well. The GSB Youth Summer Club Program has been implemented free of charge in all 81 provinces. Young people can both learn while having fun and participate in volunteer activities in clubs opened in youth centers all over Türkiye. Working parents, in particular, can entrust their children to the GSB Youth Summer Club Program with peace of mind. Applications can be made at the Youth Centers with the presence of a parent. The GSB Youth Summer Club, which will be implemented in 10 periods between June 30 and September 6, 2025, under the coordination of the General Directorate of Youth Services, aims to help young people make the most of their free time, discover their personal talents, and develop their social skills. The Summer Club program includes sports activities such as swimming, volleyball, table tennis, and orienteering, as well as activities to develop strategic thinking skills through mind games. Drama, stage work, and public speaking practices will also help young people develop their expression and communication skills. "The aim is to support students' social responsibility awareness through volunteer-based activities such as visiting nursing homes, cleaning the environment, and planting saplings."

Additionally, dormitories affiliated with the GSB will be open to young travelers this year. As part of the Seyahatsever (Traveler Lover) project, one girls' and one boys' dormitory in every province except Adana, Eskişehir, Hatay, Kahramanmaraş, Mardin, and Osmaniye is being allocated to young people during the summer. Young people aged 18-30 who wish to participate in the project can call the call center at 444 0 472 (ALO GSB) at least one day in advance to make a reservation and stay free of charge for five days at a GSB dormitory in their desired province. 'SUMMER YOUTH CAMPS ARE ORGANIZED FOR FREE'As every year, free "Sea (Blue) and Nature (Green) Summer Youth Camps" are being organized in 2025 for young people between the ages of 12 and 25. Priority is given to applicants who are members of Youth Centers affiliated with the Ministry, those who can prove their success in education, and those who have applied in the last three years but were unable to attend the camps. Applications from young people who are relatives (siblings or children) of martyrs or veterans are directly approved. As in previous years, the Ministry of Youth and Sports will cover participants' transportation, accommodation, and meals.
