The fire, which reached residential areas, was fought from both air and land throughout the night.

While the fire in Ödemiş was continuing, news of another fire came from Buca at around 15:50 on July 3. The fire started in Zafer Neighborhood when sparks from a spiral machine used in a factory construction jumped to a grassy area. The flames quickly spread from Sarnıç to Kısıkköy. AYDIN-IZMIR HIGHWAY CLOSED TO TRAFFIC

In the region where the fire was effective, the Aydın-İzmir highway was closed to traffic in both directions for security reasons. During the daytime, 3 planes and 3 helicopters intervened from the air, while a large number of ground teams provided support from the ground. Locals also joined the extinguishing efforts with tractors and water tankers.

On the second day of the fire, 4 planes and 11 helicopters took off at first light and continued to fight the fire. However, it was reported that the flames have not yet been brought under control. Work continues uninterrupted to prevent the fire, which is expanding due to the wind, from threatening residential areas.
