Operations against organized crime groups: 74 detentions

Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya, in a post he shared on his social media account, stated that operations were carried out in 6 provinces last week against 8 organized crime organizations led by Ş.K in Istanbul, F.Ö in Balıkesir, Y.K in Antalya (in prison), E.Y in Tekirdağ, NG and E.K in Kırklareli, FYK and A.A in Bursa. Yerlikaya, who provided information that 74 suspects who are members of organized crime organizations, including the ringleaders, were caught in the operations, reported that 43 of the suspects were arrested and judicial control decisions were issued for 20 suspects. Stating that the procedures for the other suspects were continuing, Yerlikaya noted the following: "In the operations, 20 unlicensed pistols, 5 unlicensed rifles, 2 blank-firing pistols, a large number of cutting and piercing tools, and checks and bills were seized. In order for no crime and criminal to go unpunished in our fight against organized crime organizations, We continue our operations without interruption to catch the criminals and bring them to justice. I congratulate our chief public prosecutors who coordinated the operations and our heroic police officers who carried out the operations."
