STATEMENT FROM IZMIR GOVERNOR ELBAN ON THE FOREST FIRE IN ODEMİŞ
İzmir Governor Süleyman Elban stated that two neighborhoods were evacuated due to the forest fire that broke out in Ödemiş district, and said, "The fire is not currently threatening any settlement in the direction it is advancing."
Elban, who made inspections in the fire area, met with the citizens and expressed his get well wishes.
Elban received information from the authorities regarding the ongoing fire extinguishing efforts.
Governor Elban, in his statement to members of the press in the Suçıktı Neighborhood, said that the fire, which they believe was caused by power lines, broke out between the Tosunlar and Suçıktı neighborhoods of Ödemiş at around 21:30.
Stating that the fire spread to two neighborhoods, Elban said:
"Our friends made an intensive effort to evacuate our citizens in both neighborhoods quickly. Therefore, Tosunlar Neighborhood was evacuated very quickly. However, when the fire came to Suçıktı Neighborhood, some of our citizens were trapped inside, but with the intensive efforts of our gendarmerie, AFAD, forestry teams, and all institutions and organizations, all our citizens were evacuated safely. There is some damage to our houses in both neighborhoods due to the fire. After the situation regarding the fire becomes clear tomorrow, the latest situation will emerge with damage assessments. The fire is currently ongoing. It has not been brought under control. However, it has passed both settlements. The fire is not currently threatening any settlement in the direction it is advancing."
Governor Elban was accompanied by Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Major General Metin Düz, Beydağ District Governor Ömer Niğdelioğlu, Bayındır District Governor Murat Mete and Tire District Governor Vural Karagül.
FIRE IN ODEMİŞ
A fire broke out in a forest area in the Tosunlar Neighborhood, Manastır area for an unknown reason. Upon notification, Izmir Forestry Regional Directorate, fire brigade teams and construction equipment were dispatched to the area.
The fire, which spread rapidly due to the wind, reached the Sucıktı Neighborhood. Tosunlar and Sucıktı Neighborhoods were evacuated as a precaution.
Some houses in Tosunlar Neighborhood were damaged in the fire. Teams are continuing their efforts to bring the fire under control.
IZMIR GOVERNOR ANNOUNCED THE LATEST SITUATION
İzmir Governor Süleyman Elban announced that 3 neighborhoods were evacuated as a precaution due to the fire that started in an agricultural area and spread to the forest in Çeşme district. Elban said, "The fire threatened 3 neighborhoods, we evacuated these 3 neighborhoods. As of now, the fire has not been brought under control yet. However, thankfully, we have not lost any lives or injured people so far. We have also evacuated some of our sites in the Ildır area where the fire started. ÇEŞME-İZMİR HIGHWAY CLOSED TO TRAFFIC
The fire, which broke out in an agricultural area in the Ildır Neighborhood, spread to the forested area in the region due to the effect of the wind. Upon notification, 6 planes, 19 helicopters, 39 water trucks, 14 water supply vehicles and 4 dozers affiliated with the İzmir Forestry Regional Directorate and firefighting teams were dispatched to the region.
The Riot Control Vehicle (TOMA) also supported the extinguishing efforts. Due to the fire risk, the Ildır and Germiyan Neighborhoods of Çeşme and the Nohutalan Neighborhood of Urla district were evacuated.
As the weather darkens, teams continue to intervene by land. Citizens also support the extinguishing efforts. Due to the increasing wind in the region, extinguishing efforts are being carried out with difficulty. The fire is advancing towards Kutlu Aktaş Dam.
In the region where the power outage occurred, precautions were taken with reinforcement teams to prevent the fire from spreading to transformers and businesses.
The Izmir-Cesme highway was closed to traffic for security reasons. The flames spreading due to the wind reached the Izmir-Cesme Highway, so the road was closed to traffic in both directions.
FIRE IN MANISA
The forest fire, which broke out at around 16:00 in the Çepnidere Neighborhood of the Turgutlu district, spread rapidly due to strong winds.
The fire, which started in an electrical transformer, quickly spread to a wide area due to the windy weather. Fire department, forestry department and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the area upon notification. Farmers in the region also supported the fire extinguishing efforts with their tractors.
REACHED IZMIR
Despite the intense efforts of the teams, the fire could not be stopped from spreading due to the wind and the flames reached the Halilbeyli Neighborhood of the Kemalpaşa district of İzmir at around 19:00. Many cattle farms in the region were affected by the fire. The cattle on one farm and 250 sheep were rescued from the fire at the last minute. Some houses in the fire area were also damaged by the flames and became unusable.
On the other hand, teams from the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department, which were previously sent to support the fire that broke out in Akhisar, also intervened in the fire. A large number of TOMAs also supported the extinguishing efforts. Fire extinguishing efforts are continuing.

KOCAELI FIRE BROUGHT UNDER CONTROL
A fire broke out in a forest area near Yenikent Neighborhood for an unknown reason. Fire and forest teams were dispatched to the area upon notification. 141 personnel and 61 vehicles, including helicopters, water trucks and construction equipment, intervened in the fire.

FIRES SPREAD TO ÇEŞME: INTERVENTION CONTINUES IN THE FIRE THAT STARTED IN THE GRASSLAND
