İzmir Governor Süleyman Elban stated that two neighborhoods were evacuated due to the forest fire that broke out in Ödemiş district, and said, "The fire is not currently threatening any settlement in the direction it is advancing."

Elban, who made inspections in the fire area, met with the citizens and expressed his get well wishes.

Elban received information from the authorities regarding the ongoing fire extinguishing efforts.

Governor Elban, in his statement to members of the press in the Suçıktı Neighborhood, said that the fire, which they believe was caused by power lines, broke out between the Tosunlar and Suçıktı neighborhoods of Ödemiş at around 21:30.

Stating that the fire spread to two neighborhoods, Elban said:

"Our friends made an intensive effort to evacuate our citizens in both neighborhoods quickly. Therefore, Tosunlar Neighborhood was evacuated very quickly. However, when the fire came to Suçıktı Neighborhood, some of our citizens were trapped inside, but with the intensive efforts of our gendarmerie, AFAD, forestry teams, and all institutions and organizations, all our citizens were evacuated safely. There is some damage to our houses in both neighborhoods due to the fire. After the situation regarding the fire becomes clear tomorrow, the latest situation will emerge with damage assessments. The fire is currently ongoing. It has not been brought under control. However, it has passed both settlements. The fire is not currently threatening any settlement in the direction it is advancing."

Governor Elban was accompanied by Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Major General Metin Düz, Beydağ District Governor Ömer Niğdelioğlu, Bayındır District Governor Murat Mete and Tire District Governor Vural Karagül.

A fire broke out in a forest area in the Tosunlar Neighborhood, Manastır area for an unknown reason. Upon notification, Izmir Forestry Regional Directorate, fire brigade teams and construction equipment were dispatched to the area.

The fire, which spread rapidly due to the wind, reached the Sucıktı Neighborhood. Tosunlar and Sucıktı Neighborhoods were evacuated as a precaution.

Some houses in Tosunlar Neighborhood were damaged in the fire. Teams are continuing their efforts to bring the fire under control.

The fire, which broke out in an agricultural area in the Ildır Neighborhood, spread to the forested area in the region due to the effect of the wind. Upon notification, 6 planes, 19 helicopters, 39 water trucks, 14 water supply vehicles and 4 dozers affiliated with the İzmir Forestry Regional Directorate and firefighting teams were dispatched to the region.

The Riot Control Vehicle (TOMA) also supported the extinguishing efforts. Due to the fire risk, the Ildır and Germiyan Neighborhoods of Çeşme and the Nohutalan Neighborhood of Urla district were evacuated.

As the weather darkens, teams continue to intervene by land. Citizens also support the extinguishing efforts. Due to the increasing wind in the region, extinguishing efforts are being carried out with difficulty. The fire is advancing towards Kutlu Aktaş Dam.

In the region where the power outage occurred, precautions were taken with reinforcement teams to prevent the fire from spreading to transformers and businesses.

The Izmir-Cesme highway was closed to traffic for security reasons. The flames spreading due to the wind reached the Izmir-Cesme Highway, so the road was closed to traffic in both directions.

The forest fire, which broke out at around 16:00 in the Çepnidere Neighborhood of the Turgutlu district, spread rapidly due to strong winds.

The fire, which started in an electrical transformer, quickly spread to a wide area due to the windy weather. Fire department, forestry department and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the area upon notification. Farmers in the region also supported the fire extinguishing efforts with their tractors.

REACHED IZMIR

Despite the intense efforts of the teams, the fire could not be stopped from spreading due to the wind and the flames reached the Halilbeyli Neighborhood of the Kemalpaşa district of İzmir at around 19:00. Many cattle farms in the region were affected by the fire. The cattle on one farm and 250 sheep were rescued from the fire at the last minute. Some houses in the fire area were also damaged by the flames and became unusable.

On the other hand, teams from the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department, which were previously sent to support the fire that broke out in Akhisar, also intervened in the fire. A large number of TOMAs also supported the extinguishing efforts. Fire extinguishing efforts are continuing.

Support teams were dispatched to the fire that broke out in agricultural land and spread to the forest in Çeşme district of İzmir. 6 planes, 19 helicopters, 39 water trucks, 14 water tankers and 4 dozers belonging to the General Directorate of Forestry are fighting the fire.

3 NEIGHBORHOODS WERE EVACUATED

Due to the wind in the region, the flames advanced towards Urla. Some parts of the Ildır Neighborhood, Germiyan Neighborhood and Urla's Nohutalan Neighborhood, which were threatened by the fire, were evacuated.

A fire broke out in a forest area near Yenikent Neighborhood for an unknown reason. Fire and forest teams were dispatched to the area upon notification. 141 personnel and 61 vehicles, including helicopters, water trucks and construction equipment, intervened in the fire.

The flames were brought under control by air and land teams. Cooling and damage assessment efforts are ongoing in the area.

Hatay Governorship announced that an examination was carried out in 597 independent sections of the forest fire that was brought under control, and it was determined that 553 were undamaged, 25 had minor damage, and 4 had severe damage.

Kocaeli Governor İlhami Aktaş, who is following the extinguishing efforts in the region regarding the forest fire that broke out in Derince district of Kocaeli, said, “The forest fire that broke out in Yenikent location of Derince district has been stopped before it spread to residential areas with the intervention of our teams from air and land. Our colleagues are working a little further north. They are trying to stop the progress there. The extinguishing efforts continue with the helicopters of our Regional Forestry Directorate, helicopters of our Air Base Command, support from our Metropolitan Municipality by land, fire department and other construction equipment. Our other institutions, AFAD Directorate, health directorate and forestry directorate are on the field. In order not to experience any negativity, our extinguishing efforts continue to prevent it from spreading to residential areas.”

Germiyan Neighborhood, which was negatively affected by the fire that started in agricultural land and spread to the forest in Çeşme district, is being evacuated by teams as a precaution.

First in Menderes, then in Seferihisar, a fire broke out in the Çeşme district of Izmir, a famous holiday resort, which has been struggling with forest fires for days. The first intervention to the fire, which broke out in an agricultural area in Ildır Neighborhood at 13:40 today and spread to the forest, was made at 13:55.

While 5 planes and 18 helicopters belonging to the Izmir Forestry Regional Directorate are trying to put out the flames from the air, teams are also working hard on the ground with 36 water tenders, 13 water supply vehicles and 4 dozers to prevent the flames from spreading further. In the meantime, it was learned that some of the volunteer teams who are fighting the fire and conducting search and rescue operations in the Seferihisar region day and night have moved to the Çeşme district.

The smoke rising from the area, which also includes olive trees, can be seen from miles away. On the other hand, it was reported that some summer houses in the area were evacuated as a precaution.

A fire broke out in an agricultural field near Hamzabey Neighborhood in Gediz district at around 12:30. The flames spread to the forest due to the wind. Gediz Forest Management Directorate teams, Gediz and Yenikent municipalities and fire department teams from surrounding districts were dispatched to the area. Air and land intervention is ongoing to combat the flames.

A fire broke out in an area of ​​dry grass in Ayvalık's 150 Evler Neighborhood for an unknown reason. The flames, which grew rapidly due to the strong north wind, damaged some stunted trees in the area. The fire, which changed direction frequently due to the wind, also threatened the shops in the industrial sites in the area.

The fire, which started in the field and spread to the forest area in the Pelitköy Neighborhood of the Burhaniye district of Balıkesir, continues to be intervened intensively by teams. Efforts to bring the fire under control are being carried out effectively from both the air and the land.

As the forest fire in Kocaeli grows, some houses in the region were evacuated for safety reasons.

Around 15:00, a fire broke out for an unknown reason in a forest area in the Yenikent Neighborhood of the Derince district. The flames spread rapidly due to the wind and grew in a short time, while dense smoke was seen from many points in the city. Upon notification, many fire, forest and health teams were dispatched to the area. The teams that arrived at the scene started working to bring the fire under control.

As the fire approached residential areas, some houses were evacuated for safety reasons. Extinguishing efforts continue in the area.

A forest fire broke out in the Yeni Yörük Neighborhood of İnegöl district at around 12:30. While 3 water tenders, 1 water tanker, 2 İMAs, 1 helicopter and 19 personnel were responding to the flames, news of the second fire came from the Mustafakemalpaşa district. 1 UAV, 1 helicopter, 6 water tenders, 2 water tankers and 46 personnel are responding to the forest fire that broke out in the Alacaat Neighborhood. Cooling efforts are ongoing in the region.

A forest fire broke out in the Karadağ area between the Beyobası and Cumhuriyet neighborhoods of Gazipaşa at around 13:00. Fire extinguishing teams were dispatched to the area upon notification from people in the area.

While Gazipaşa Forest Management Directorate teams and Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Gazipaşa Fire Department teams are responding to the fire from land, a helicopter is also participating in the extinguishing effort.

A fire broke out in the same region on June 30, damaging 25 hectares of land.
