Pedestrian struck by car on highway dies
The accident occurred around 01:30 on the Gaziosmanpaşa TEM Connection Road in the direction of Edirne.
According to reports, a person was hit by a car while trying to cross the road on the highway.
Paramedics arrived at the scene after receiving a report and determined that the person struck by the car had died. Police and General Directorate of Highways teams took security measures in the area, while crime scene investigators examined the area where the accident occurred.
The lifeless body of the person, whose identity has not yet been determined, was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute morgue after examination.
The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
