Tançoban, who explained that the laundry hung outside to dry was freezing, said, "Life is very difficult here. There is no coal or wood left. It is very cold. We cannot take our animals outside. We cannot stay outside for more than 10 minutes. It is cool here in the summer, but very cold in the winter."
Caner Tançoban also said, "We are constantly lighting the stove because it is cold. We use 3 or 4 quilts when we sleep. Otherwise, we cannot stay warm. It is really cold."
