The heaviest punishment for Pelin's killer: I kept my promise to you, I took your blood

Ali Uysal (38), the murderer of Pelin Karaca (22), who was found to have been murdered after disappearing in the Alaşehir district of Manisa on September 17 last year, was sentenced to aggravated life imprisonment in the case heard by the Alaşehir High Criminal Court. The Karaca family felt a pang of sorrow after Ali Uysal, the son of their neighbor from their old neighborhood, received the aggravated life sentence.

"IT WAS A CONSOLE TO OUR PAIN"
Leaving the court, father Nuh Karaca said, "Justice was served, my daughter's blood was not left unavenged. May she not see the light of day. My daughter will not come back, but the judge gave her an aggravated life sentence. This has consoled our pain."

He kissed his daughter's photo and lamented.
Her mother, Bihal Karaca , wept bitterly, kissing her daughter's photo and lamenting. Karaca said, "My dear Pelin, my dear mother, I kept my promise to you and took your blood. The state showed justice and punished you, but you will not come back. I promised you at my daughter's grave, 'Your blood will not be shed in vain.' Now I will go and give my daughter the good news. Thankfully, our state has given the necessary punishment. May God bless you a thousand times over."

Pelin Karaca's aunt, Zahide Kurt, also tearfully said, "Pelin was a girl I loved very much. She had committed no sins. What was her crime that made her do this? I don't want other mothers, other siblings to suffer. May God not let her see the light of day. She says 'I love you,' but how can someone do this to someone they love? A person protects, looks after, and stands by their loved ones." Defendant Ali Uysal admitted to the murder in court but claimed the incident was an accident. Karaca's lifeless body was found buried in a forested area in the Eşme district of Uşak after Uysal's confession.

ERDOĞAN TALKED TO THE FAMILY BY PHONE
During the trial, Ayşe Keşir, the head of the AK Party's Women's Branch at the headquarters and a Düzce MP, paid a condolence visit to the Karaca family. During this visit, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan also spoke to the family by phone and offered his condolences, stating, "As a state, we are fulfilling our legal responsibilities in all of these matters, and we will continue to do so."
