The limescale problem from the kettle is over! A clean look with just a lemon

Limescale builds up inside a kettle over time, affecting both the taste of the water and reducing the appliance's performance. Store-bought descalers often contain chemicals, which raises concerns. However, a simple lemon can provide natural, safe, and effective cleaning.
WHY IS LEMON SO EFFECTIVE?
Lemon is rich in citric acid. This natural acid dissolves limescale on metal surfaces, ensuring hygienic cleaning. It also eliminates unpleasant odors. Lemon's antiseptic properties also help prevent bacterial growth.
HOW TO APPLY?
Cut 1 lemon in half.
Fill the kettle with half a litre of water.
Squeeze the juice of the lemon and add the pulp.
Turn on the appliance until the water boils.
Let it sit with the lid closed for about 20 minutes.
Then pour out the water and rinse several times with clear water.
This method not only polishes the kettle's interior but also softens limescale deposits, making them easier to clean. When used weekly, it also extends the appliance's lifespan.
THINGS TO CONSIDER
If your kettle has an aluminum interior, the acidic nature of lemon can dull the surface. Therefore, it's recommended to use it on steel surfaces. It's also important to boil and discard water at least once after cleaning before using it directly.
