The incident took place in the Yeşilkent neighborhood around 8 p.m. Allegedly, a group arguing over social media met on the street and then got into a fight.

Emircan M. stabbed Metin Ö. and Bircan Ö. Police and paramedics were dispatched to the scene following a report. While the injured were being taken to the hospital, the suspect, Emircan M., fled into the building. While challenging the police officers attempting to detain him, Emircan M. broke the glass of the building's entrance door. Police officers CG and TS were injured in the eye during the incident. The injured officers were taken to Kanuni Sultan Süleyman Training and Research Hospital.

Criminal records revealed

Police officers entered the building, causing difficulties, broke windows, and fled before apprehending Emircan M. shortly thereafter. The suspect who injured the officers was found to have two prior burglary convictions. Of the other suspects detained, Yunus M. had eight prior burglary convictions, and Eren M. had five prior burglary convictions. Metin Ö., who is undergoing treatment, was found to have suffered five separate stab wounds to the abdomen and has a total of 12 prior burglaries, while Bircan Ö., the other injured party, had two prior burglaries.
