CHP's Yavuzyılmaz: Minister Ersoy is trying to destroy the world's largest foundation archive

CHP Zonguldak Deputy Deniz Yavuzyılmaz said that Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy will destroy the world's largest Foundations archive.
Yavuzyılmaz said, "Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, put down that lighter immediately! Following his appalling irresponsibility in the Kartalkaya disaster, the Minister of Culture and Tourism is now seeking to destroy the world's largest Foundation Archive. As of July 8, 2025, the Foundation Archive in Ulus, Ankara, which contains endowment deeds belonging to 50,000 foundations and unique documents dating back a thousand years, has been left unattended."
Yavuzyılmaz made the following statement:
The Minister first removed the expert officials who were protecting and conducting research at the Foundations Archive from the building and assigned them to another address. He then handed the building, along with the archives within, to the Yunus Emre Foundation. This priceless world archive was blatantly abandoned to the mercy of the Yunus Emre Foundation, a criminal organization known for its alleged involvement in the nylon invoice fraud. In other words, the cat has been left to fend for itself! Immediately reverse this mistake, bring back the expert officials who are the archive's guardians, and cancel the allocation of this building to the criminal Yunus Emre Foundation. Otherwise, you, the AK Party, are already responsible for any fires that could destroy this archive.
The Foundations Archive, encompassing the Anatolian Seljuk, Ottoman, and Republic of Turkey periods, is a world heritage site. The existing building for historical archive documents must have two protection systems against fire, sabotage, human intervention, theft, and destruction. One is the specialized staff who protect the archives, and the other is the existing fire alarm system.
The AK Party has reassigned all the experts in the unit responsible for protecting and researching the world's largest Foundations Archive to another building, leaving the archive abandoned. For what purpose? To allocate the building to the former Yunus Emre Foundation! Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, who made this allocation, is both the Minister responsible for the General Directorate of Foundations, which houses the Foundations Archive, and the Chairman of the Yunus Emre Foundation's Board of Trustees. Therefore, the archive is vulnerable!
