Elon Musk to make Grok available for government use

Billionaire businessman Elon Musk's artificial intelligence company, xAI, announced that it will offer its artificial intelligence model, Grok, for government use after the Pentagon recently awarded the company multi-million dollar defense contracts.
“We are announcing Grok for Government – a suite of products that brings our advanced models to U.S. Government customers,” xAI said in a social media post on X.
Partnership with the US governmentThe company also announced “two new partnerships” with the US government, including a defense contract awarded by the Pentagon and xAI products “available for purchase through the General Services Administration (GSA) program,” which allows federal agencies/departments to purchase approved products.
The agreement is the focus of criticism!This news comes after xAI secured over $200 million in defense contracts with companies like Alphabet's Google and Anthropic. The deal was criticized by Senator Elizabeth Warren.
SpaceX invests in xAIxAI has also been in the news recently due to Musk's merger talks with other companies like SpaceX and Tesla, which recently invested more than $2 billion in xAI.
