Exorbitant price control in restaurants and marketplaces before Ramadan

Inspections were carried out regarding the placement of documents regarding tariffs and price lists, which became mandatory with the "Regulation on Amendments to Price Tag Regulation" that entered into force on January 1, 2024, in front of the entrance doors and on the tables in restaurants, cafes, patisseries and similar workplaces where food and beverage services are provided.

SANCTIONS IMPOSED

After checking the menus and tariffs in businesses in the Mustafa Kemal Neighborhood of the Çankaya district, the price lists in the Gimat wholesale market in the Yenimahalle district were inspected.

During the inspections, separate administrative sanctions were imposed on businesses where non-conformance was detected for each product.
