Fruit prices increased by 200 percent

According to TÜİK data, the increase in fruit prices exceeded 200 percent compared to last year.
This rate went down in history as the highest increase ever recorded in agricultural products.
The rise in fruit prices has hit cherries the hardest. In June, cherries reached 800 TL per kilogram. Selling for 8 TL per kilogram, the cherries drew a strong reaction. Additionally, fruits like plums, apricots, watermelons, and melons are now selling for triple-digit prices per kilogram.
