The accident occurred in the evening hours on Malatya Street in the center. A car with license plate 34 GV 4670, whose driver's name has not been released, struck Beyza Menek as she was trying to cross the road. Menek was thrown onto the road, and bystanders alerted the scene, prompting medical and police teams to arrive. Menek, who was seriously injured in the accident, was taken to a private hospital after receiving initial treatment. Despite all efforts, she could not be saved. Menek's body was taken to the hospital morgue for an autopsy.

Looking for a driver

Following the accident, the driver was determined to have abandoned his car approximately 100 meters away and fled the scene on foot. Police have launched an operation to apprehend the fleeing driver. The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
